Asphalt shingles remain one of the most trusted roofing systems for homeowners — dependable protection, strong curb appeal, and cost-effective performance. We install premium shingle systems built to handle Maryland weather while enhancing the look of your home.
Asphalt shingles dominate residential roofing because they hit the sweet spot of price, performance, and aesthetics. Here's what you get:
Not all asphalt shingles are the same. We help you pick the right tier based on your home, climate exposure, and budget.
The modern standard. Multi-layered, dimensional appearance with strong wind ratings and a 30+ year lifespan. Best fit for: nearly every home.
Premium profiles that mimic slate or cedar shake. Heavier, more sculptural, and longer-lasting. Best fit for: high-end homes where curb appeal is a priority.
Class 4 rated for hail and storm damage. May qualify for homeowners insurance discounts. Best fit for: storm-prone areas or anyone planning to stay long-term.
We install shingles from the two largest and most respected names in North American roofing. Both offer extensive manufacturer warranties on top of our 1-year workmanship warranty.
Known for the Landmark line of architectural shingles and high-end Presidential designer shingles. SureStart Plus warranties up to 50 years.
America's largest roofing manufacturer. Timberline HDZ is the most-installed shingle in the country. Golden Pledge warranty options available.
Modern architectural asphalt shingles typically last 25–30 years with proper installation and ventilation. Designer shingles can last 40+ years. Lifespan depends on shingle quality, attic ventilation, sun exposure, and storm activity.
3-tab shingles are flat, single-layer, and budget-oriented — they have largely been replaced in new construction. Architectural shingles are multi-layered, thicker, and offer a dimensional shadow line, better wind ratings, and a significantly longer lifespan. We almost always recommend architectural or better.
Standard shingles aren't inherently efficient, but cool-roof rated shingles reflect more solar heat and can lower attic temperatures. Pairing the right shingle color with proper attic ventilation is what really moves the needle on energy bills.
It depends on the cause and extent. Isolated wind damage or a small leak can often be repaired. But if your roof is more than 20 years old, has widespread granule loss, or has multiple repair history points, replacement is usually the better long-term value. We'll give you an honest read after inspection.
You get two layers of protection: the manufacturer's material warranty (typically 30–50 years depending on shingle line and registration), and our 1-year workmanship warranty on the installation itself. Higher-tier installs may qualify for extended warranties like GAF's Golden Pledge or CertainTeed's SureStart Plus.
